For a man to be such a teacher
I wonder how I could have been so naïve
To think this man was a prophet
When he was merely heretic here to damn us all

I should have known when he welcomed enemies
The same as those he loved
When he wasted time praying for the Pharisees
In a vain hope they would join him in his conquest

Does he not understand the way society works
Can he not see that we can’t have what we need
If we don’t have the means to obtain
The necessities to sustain us through the day

When we were hungry he would merely laugh
Claiming that food and water were nothing
Professing modesty as something only the vain would desire
As long as he was worshiped nothing else would matter

How can a man who claims to be God
One who can quote our Torah so eloquently be
The one who was foretold to come and free us all
The One he claims to be

And the double talk he speaks
Claiming to be sent by the Father in one breath
Then teaching us in the next
To hate our families if we are to follow his way

And what of his way with women
Taking in the whore while despising the mother
While preaching that his gospel is for all
That he came to love without discrimination

He speaks so often with a split tongue
Claiming such power and grace
Yet damning so many to an eternity in hell
Merely for not bowing at his feet

How can I follow such a man
Should I try to crush his lies and deceit
When he is so skilled so masterful in his craft
Even the elders cannot force him to their snare

I must take this night to ponder
To decide the way I should turn
Should I free myself of this man
Or have I already murdered my own soul
