I spent most of the time yesterday, Day 2, building characters and scenes for “Inesperada.” This book’s backdrop is being taken from my hometown, using many of the places, and areas in and around the town for much of the story. There’ll be a few changes in the landscape such as the nearby creek actually having water in it all of the time thanks to a spring, not just when the rain runoff fills it twice a year.

I’m also going to flirt with getting myself in trouble by using traits in many characters which are similar to those of the people in the town, especially where it’ll help create drama along the way. This will hit closest to home in some of the family characters of the MMC. When this comes out, things will be revealed.

And today, more than 1000 words were put to paper before my daughter came in the office to distract me. A good start as I plan to have this written for editing by Halloween in hopes of publishing around Valentine’s Day next year.
